Ro Khanna

I was hoping to catch Mark Pocan.

I called in after January 6th, back in 2020. and asked the question of either him or Ro Khanna, what will you be doing to Trump-proof the presidency? I listened to Congressman Pocan last hour, and when the question, when the callers were approaching the subject of criminality and punishment for these criminals, He somewhat diverted to health care quite often.

He quite

clearly said you can't throw people in jail without the Department of Justice and we don't control it and we won't control it for two more years.

We don't know where this storyline's going.

I mean, is this turning into like what happened in Maine with Graham Platner? Remember that guy? And all of a sudden, people who were behind him, like Ro Khanna, congressman from California supporting him all the way and now everybody's saying what are you doing supporting this guy what's wrong with you you know it might be a little bit early that's just all I'm saying we'll we'll see some interesting feedback coming in I want to get to some of that from people who are listening to the program on the iHeartRadio up in just a second I do want to get into artificial intelligence right now this is a story that all of a sudden is just like smacked us in the face in the last what week and a half like where did this come from right all of a sudden this is a really big deal that we need to be concerned about security and the dangers of artificial intelligence former researcher for AI comes out and says AI could kill us all by the end of the decade you've probably heard that one and then all of a sudden everybody started getting concerned even Congress they're having hearings on it well This is an audio clip you're going to hear from right now from the CEO of Duke Energy.

Ro Khanna grew up in Pennsylvania, but today he represents California's 17th congressional district, covering Silicon Valley.

Where do they find these guys? Not a diner.

Khanna, who would still vote for Paxton, said, I thought it was kind of low class.

You can get your point across.

There's other ways to do it that just is not so crass.

But starting with Massey, his discharge petition is reportedly just one Republican signature away from forcing the House to vote on part two of his Epstein Files Transparency Act.

With Massey introducing it last month alongside Ro Khanna, and just like with the first round of legislation, it's been this uphill battle to get the four Republicans needed to sign up.

But yesterday you had Massey announcing that Representative Ralph Norman joined he and Nancy Mace in signing, meaning that they just need one more member of the party to step up.

So as it stands, the petition has 197 signatures, but once they get that fourth Republican, it'll likely be pretty easy to get the remaining Democrat to fill it out.

And the Democrats have had somewhat unfocused messaging here, some saying you've got to go very, very hard, very, very strong.

You look at people like Greg Kassar from Texas and others, Ro Khanna with a much stronger message, some who are still kind of, you know, a softer critique.

And What you really need now is a clear distinction, as I think folks are suggesting here, between the two parties on this issue.

Then if a Republican tries to say, yeah, I'd be pretty good on this or you could trust me on this, that will not work because people will say, no, no, the Republicans are the party of Donald Trump.
