Hey, um, notes from a recent meeting by the Chemical Safety Board that was held in Washington, DC, um, in a, their regularly publicly scheduled business meeting in mid of, uh, middle of September.

They reported things are not going well when it comes to process safety as compared to previous years.

Uh, and quoting, "When you begin your meeting, 2026 has been particularly deadly in comparison to previous years." That means we're not heading in the right direction.

In fact, uh, just looking at some of the totals when it comes to fatalities, you know, the government's physical year starts on October the 1st, so at the end of September was the end of their 2025, or no, 2026 physical year.

So it kind of aligns a little bit with, with some of our topics for the next couple of episodes.

You know, I think we get super focused on personal safety and protecting individual workers that sometimes we lose sight of process safety, and I'm talking about process safety even beyond what we normally find under OSHA's PSM standard in, in chemical plants.

So anyway, not being a good year, uh, maybe we can dive into that in another episode in the chemical processing business.
