It is time to rock and roll for Week 2 of the NFL season with former Panthers General Manager Marty Hurney and Femi Abebefe! Before diving into the action, Femi & Marty give their thoughts on the…
Femi AbebefeHostI think this might be the most dangerous weekend for an NFL better because, as you mentioned, you're going off one game.
There were several games like the NFL happens every week, several shockers, surprises, teams that you thought were going to be good that weren't, and teams that were good that you didn't think were going to be.
Now the question is going into this week, Who is real? Who continues the momentum? And who kind of falls back? And there are a lot of really interesting games this week.
So this will be a really interesting week because, as you say, some teams are going to continue to get better after the week one wins.
And since the merger in 1970, teams that go 0-2 made the playoffs 10% of the time.

no it's such a tricky week and especially given that we don't see teams really play in the preseason that much and i promise this will be the final week that i bring up the preseason but i do think early on in the season it's an important fact that hey because they're not playing in the preseason that means week one week two hey sometimes even week three are extensions of the preseason as these teams are still trying to work their way back into it.

Is it similar in the NFL that teams make their biggest improvements that season from weeks one or week two? Or what is it like going from that opening game and then now improving on that now that you've seen your guys out there for a full 60 minutes?
