Recapping Wisconsin's scrimmage, standout players, where things stand offensively

That one's got plenty of... beer which goes well with football and they could carry the petosi varsity golden nail so go check it out uh brennan's on the west side of madison all right let's jump into this as i said held a extended scrimmage this morning in madison out on the field north of the stadium so it was not there it's not 100 yards uh it is 80 yards so we didn't get any like 99 yard drives but i while they were not a ton of touchdowns, Jesse, there were a lot of long drives for the offense, both the first team and the second team.

But where would you like to start with this? Cause it is, there is a lot to jump into.

As you said, you got deep into it over on Badger Connect, but where would you like to go here?

So I broke down my story between first team offense, second team, third team.

And I, Because it'd be tough to go and bounce back and forth because they would go, they'd have a series with the first series with the second series with the third, and then they'd come back.

I just think that's the easiest way to do it.

So we can talk about Colton Joseph and what he was able to accomplish and some of these other guys.

I'm also just realizing I shouldn't, nah, I won't say this.

I'll figure it out.

Let's start with that first team offense.

And Colton Joseph, the first drive was 13 plays, was 12 or 13 plays.

And they had to settle for a field goal attempt.

That was the field did not was not good.

It was a Gavin Lom probably did not have his best day today, but they were able to look not a lot of touchdowns.

But the offense did move the ball, which is, I think, an extension of or an improvement on what they did a year ago.

But being able to finish drives is something that, well, I don't think they've struggled with it in camp.

Certainly it came out today that they were unable to do so.

Right, and you can look at this both ways.

You can say, well, they got into the red zone, the first-team offense did, and they had to settle for a field goal, especially on those first three.

And I should say, so just in total, first-team offense had four total drives.

Three of them were when they're backed up on their own side and will get to the end because they put the ball to 25.

It kind of – I thought it was like an overtime period type is kind of what it sounded.

It seemed like just where you'd put the ball to 25.
