It's actually a very organized and rigid program, and then they go back to school.

Some of them might have the opportunity to still work while students.

So what was that like dovetailing with schooling and the rest of your life? Or did you, you know...

Yeah, so that semester, that spring semester in January of 2002, the girl and I were the same majors.

We were both theater majors.

And so I needed to get away from school because we were still seeing each other every day.

And we had worked at a summer stock theater that summer before and still seeing each other every day.

So I took advantage of the fact that I could still be technically going to school during this internship.

After that semester, though, I just returned back to Utah where I grew up and was finishing school.

But I was also doing all of this writing while I was finishing school.

Okay, nice.

Yeah.

And then it just turned into a career afterwards.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Wow.

I love how you talked about taking initiative.

And even though those five or six pitches didn't ever get filmed, what I love about your story is... that initiative.

And we've heard that from other authors too, that have been on the show is like, sometimes you just got to go for it.

And, you know, the results aren't up to you, you know, if they reject you or you don't get, you don't get through.

I mean, who knows what would have happened? They picked up the phone that day.

You decided to be brave and call and say, what the, Hey, what do I have to lose? You know? Yeah.

Like, I think more people need to hear that when it comes to their career, when it comes to anything they love or have a passion for.

I think that's awesome.

About, I'm going to say...
