So you're probably wondering, what is Playbook Optional, this podcast, all about? Well...

How did I get here? Not just my transition from TV to the corporate world to then owning my own business, but also before that, how did I get interested in media? What has motivated me through the years? Those type of things, I'm gonna share those things with you because I've had some ups and downs throughout my career, especially lately, but you learn more about yourself when things are not going right.

And I certainly have learned a lot about myself and how to approach things Whether that's been good or whether that's been bad, I know sometimes it's been hard on my family because I haven't really been present at times, but we get through it together, and that's why I love them so much, and that's why I hope you guys can tune in and listen to this group therapy session that I have here with Playbook Optional.

The other part of this podcast is going to be telling other people's stories because I'm fascinated by how people got to where they are right now.

But again, all the people that we're going to be talking to have been shaped by those challenges in life.

So that's why I centered on the name Playbook Optional because games have playbooks, but life doesn't.

And I thought that just fit perfectly with what I've been going through and the overall theme.

being a father being a disney adult because i love disney uh we're going to talk about a lot of topics here on this podcast but mostly it's about telling stories and sharing our personal journeys with you guys at home and so it's been three years really since i've sat in front of a camera and talked to you guys into a microphone shared my thoughts on a lot of stuff um And I've gone through a lot.

It's been a really challenging three years, the first 18 months of which were spent at the Harris County Houston Sports Authority after I left television.

And then after that, after I lost my job there, I've been trying to reinvent myself, trying to figure out exactly why.

But how did I get here? How did I get to this moment? What is the essence of Daniel Goethe and how he became what he is today? Well, media-wise and career-wise, I started when I was a lot younger.

So I'm going to give you a little bit of a backstory on me and kind of take you through exactly how we got to this point with me.
