I've known Brandon for a long time.

Before he got into the radio game, he worked at KHOU Channel 11 with us.

When I was there, he was one of our web guys.

Did a lot of stuff on the sports side as well.

Yeah.

And likewise, man, I'm glad to have an opportunity to talk sports.

We did some real fun stuff back in the KHOU days, man.

So glad to have a chance to rekindle that.

It's a whole team effort, really.

So I used to say us all the time whenever I got to host a show back in my KHOU days.

That was few and far between.

They lost touch as kids due to a move, but became romantically involved much later, while in their 20s, after Danielle's divorce from her first husband.

A couple years later, they got married, and after marrying, they had a son together.

By 2015, Danielle and Austin had been married for five years.

In any case, on March 21st, a Saturday, Danielle and her youngest son, three-year-old Hagen, visited Danielle's friend, Megan Smith, who lived less than an hour away in Waller County.

Danielle and Megan had just met a couple weeks beforehand and had instantly hit it off.

Both were moms and, as Megan would later tell KHOU11 News, Megan appreciated Danielle's caring nature and how kind she was to her children.
