Why Should you be Baptized | Pastor Grant Ethridge | Liberty Live Church

Well, it is Baptism Sunday, and I'm going to be preaching a message today like a one-day revival.

And I'm going to be answering this question today.

Why should you be baptized? Why should you be baptized? That's the title of my message.

But I don't want you to miss the pattern or rhythm that we see taking place.

In 2026, we said this is the year of revival.

That's what we're praying for.

That God would revive his church so that he could send spiritual awakening to the land.

All right? But repentance begins in the house of God, the Bible says.

And so we need revival.

So we started out the year, 21 days of prayer, had a one-day revival.

Now we've had 21 days of prayer, now we're having a one-day revival.

But when you read in history, like the great awakenings, they would have protracted revivals.

I mean, they would go for weeks, two weeks, three weeks.

Well, we've been praying for three weeks.

And then at the end of the revival, they would go meet at the river.

And they'd sing, shall we gather at the river? And I love reading in history about movements like that.

One church in Arkansas where I served, they had a revival for several weeks.

Went down to the Arkansas River.

Like 106 people got baptized in 60 minutes.

And they wrote the history of it.

They told how many people came.

on foot, and how many came by horse and buggy or by mule or on horseback.

And it was incredible.

And so I want you to know that today we're keeping up with how many of you came, I don't know, in a Chevrolet or in a Ford, in a Cadillac, in a BMW.

How many of you rode the bus? Listen, this is a true story, seriously now.
