The crux of Christian life from the final moments of Jesus on earth. Gethsemane, Governor, Golgotha, Grave, Glory
John Z. JohnHost
In the Garden of Gethsemane, there's something so powerful that I want to, you know, highlight, and I want to put my focus on.
He gets some of them to pray, and then He brings a few of them with Him, and they move a little further, and He tells them, "Pray with me." And then He goes a little further, and He's spending time with His Father.
Let me tell you, it's impossible to understand what Jesus went through in those few hours that He spent in the Garden of Gethsemane.
And so what went through His mind? How was He behaving? You know, what was He thinking? Nobody knows.
How do you know that? There's a proof of His sweat that drop, you know, that drip like blood.
I wouldn't say it was a dilemma, but He came to this point, "Father, if it's your will." Um, that does not prove that Jesus was weak.
He was only expressing Himself because the agony, the pain only He understood, carrying the sins of the world.
