John 7

They'll need no lamp of light or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign with him forever and ever.

So if you remember back to John 7, Jesus said this about the river flowing from him was the spirit.

So here you see the spirit flowing like the river of life, always spirit and water run together, spirit and water flowing from God, bringing the life that is in him out into the world to be healing for the nations.

Wherever this river goes, everything is healed, remember from Ezekiel.

Foreigners see it, but the American people have no clue because they don't read their own Bibles.

How are you going to know the will of the Lord if you don't take the time to know the word of God? John 7, 17.

But since I brought up Genesis 6, 3, where the Lord says, my spirit will not contend with you all of your days.

Absolutely, he will not.

Shemini Atadet is only mentioned in two places in the Bible, Leviticus 23 and Numbers 29.

Okay, so what are you supposed to do on that day? If you go back and start at John 7, you will read that Yeshua was coming to the feast in Jerusalem, and he's there with the feast with his apostles.

And all the way up until John 9 or 10, it's all things that are taking place during the Sukkot that year.

Mm-hmm.

And it was at Jerusalem, the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.

So the word dedication is called Hanukkah.

Now, if you go back and start at John 7... you will read that Yeshua was coming to the feast in Jerusalem, and he's there with the feast with his apostles.

And all the way up until John 9 or 10, it's all things that are taking place during the Sukkot that year.

And please, let's direct any thanks or praise that we have to the Father, okay, and to His Son, the Lord Jesus.

With that said, let's go back over here into John 7.

I'm assuming this will be our last day in John 7, and then we're going to bring up something tomorrow when we get together.

We're going to bring up something of a different topic.

But so far, we've had four, and I've been so thankful for the different callers that call in, and they have things to add.

You see leaves healing.

And this is all here in Ezekiel 47.

And if you put this beside, if you put what I've got on the screen here, and what I'm telling you guys about Ezekiel 47, you can put it right up against what Jesus says there in John 7, verse 37.

Now- When they drew near to hear him, we can probably better understand the significance of this when we think back for just a moment and we remember how that a group of temple officers were sent by the religious leaders to quietly arrest the Lord Jesus and bring him back.

When those temple officers returned empty-handed, they were asked, "Where is he? Did you not bring him?" Listen as I read from John 7:46, "The officers answered, 'Never man spake like this man.'" Yeah.

Amen.

There is something different about him.

If the world hates you, know that it hated me before it hated you.

Jesus said in John 7, 7, the world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify against it that its deeds are evil.

And Skip, for the pastors that may be listening today, what would be your word of encouragement and challenge for these guys that stand in the pulpit week after week?

Well, Paul said to Timothy, preach the word, be ready in season and out of season, rebuke, console with all long suffering and doctrine.

Y'all interested in that? Look at these examples of Kairos.

John 7, 6.

Jesus said to them, my time has not yet come, but your time is always here.

Luke 21, 24.

It says, do not judge by appearances, but by righteous judgment.

That's John 7, 24.

Now, the way I like to relate to this, because I can think for myself and you can think whatever way you'd like, is righteous judgment means exactly what I desire to live, like, whatever it may be.

So if the appearances suggest $50,000 debt, that's okay.
