choose life. carry hope.

And so like, we're very mindful of who we're speaking to and we're speaking to Christian young adult girls.

And of course, if you're listening and you, you're not a follower of Jesus, we love you.

And of course you're more than welcome to be listening to, But the framework for this discussion is the framework of what God says.

Yes.

And what scripture says.

And that's where the truth actually lies.

Absolutely.

And so we'll get into that.

Bex will talk about the biblical framework for this, like how we believe what we believe.

Yeah.

Why we believe what we believe.

But I just want to start by building a framework around this concept called Imago Dei.

And what it actually means, Imago Dei just means that we are made in the image of God.

And so right the way through scripture, starting in Genesis, in Genesis 1, God says, let us make man in our image, in the image of ourselves, let us make man and woman.

And so the foundational truth is that every single human being is carries the image of God, the imprint of the creator.

And so it's not gradual.

It doesn't depend on how far along you are in gestation or whether you're pre-born or not.

Every single human is an image bearer.

And so then there's so many other, you know, ideas that come into it.

Like, so how do we know it's a human? When is life starting? All those sorts of things.

I might let Bex unpack some of that.

I'm Every single human is an image bearer of God in Margot Day.

And so that's the picture I want to paint when we open up today.

It doesn't depend on the person's capacity or development or location.

It doesn't depend on whether they're wanted or not.
