Welcome back to another episode of Just Get A Real Job with your host me, Jamie McKinlay.

I'm thrilled to be joined by Fraser and Olivia who are about to take their show Common Tongue to the Edinburgh Fringe.

Well, you're about to, as I said, take Common Tongue to the Fringe in two days.

We did the dress rehearsal last night and it was just so nice to get responses again and remember how it makes people feel.

yeah yeah i'm really excited it's it's really um it feels really special when you make a show and you get to bring it back you know this is the third time that we've brought the show back in some form and um i think what's especially exciting about the fringe is that it sort of opens the show up to a really diverse audience a really international audience um so like i'm just really excited for to to have the show be available to those people and to be on for such a long time as well you know it'll be the longest We did the tour last year which was like 14 to 15 shows and this, you know, in August Olivia's going to do like double that.

Well, you guys have had quite a distinctive poster for your show because I remember, I've seen it so many times when you were on your tour and stuff.

I mean, it's always nice being at the Fringe Hour because even recording this, like we're in the sort of rooftop of the Assembly Garden, you can hear the ambience of it all, right? Yeah.

listeners if you can hear that like background noise that you don't you're not used to normally it just you know soak up it's about it's the vibe yeah maybe the fringe but before we sort of get into your show this just got rid of as a podcast all about creative careers the reality of doing them i know you're both pursuing your own sort of creative careers and stuff but can you just sort of introduce yourselves both first then tell the like listeners a bit about yourselves like what you do for a living and and how you'd sort of make that work yeah of
