From the Ashes 'Coyote vs. ACME' Rises Like a Phoenix: How Warner Bros. Almost Killed a Great Movie

Coyote vs.

Acme is finally in theaters.

Dude, it's crazy

that you are saying that because we have, on this show in particular, a long history of discussing it.

And it's finally here and it's out.

People can go pay money to go see it in their local Cinemaplex.

Yes.

And I've also gotten to see a couple other fun anniversary movies as of late.

This weekend, I caught the 40th anniversary of Labyrinth, Jim Henson's Labyrinth.

It was really cool, too, because his son, Brian Henson, who's a legendary Muppeteer himself, and the director of, I think, the definitive adaptation of A Christmas Carol, Muppets Christmas Carol, Brian Henson, introduced the movie.

So that was really fun to revisit.

What's your take on Labyrinth, Chris?

I think it's one of those movies where it's like a classic... stoner movie from its era.

Not intentionally a stoner movie, but it's Jim Henson.

There's a lot of really bizarre...

The imagery is really crazy.

It's definitely one of those things where I remember...

My introduction to Labyrinth is...

Some people saw it when they were very, very, very young.

And, like, too young, probably.

Because it has, like, especially dark moments.

You know, and Bowie's in it.

And, like, it's just a wild ride in general.

But I got introduced to it more so in, like, late high school.

And people are like, hey, like, we love David Bowie.
