This is why I don't put many topics on the in-person cast now, um, 'cause we're gonna watch this clip.
Travis SnellHOST
12:23
But it's from Spider-Man 2, where, I don't know if you remember, Electro's messing with the grid and all the power's down in New York.
Kirkland PatzerHOST
12:30

The music playing with Flash is running around like...
Will RobsonHOST
29:35
I mean, he saved the two girls in the cafe like Spider-Man 2.
Will RobsonHOST
29:40
He did.
Will RobsonHOST
29:41
Yeah, I thought that too.
Alex RobsonHOST
29:41
But this came first.
Alex RobsonHOST
29:43
So I guess Spider-Man 2 copied Paul Dini and Dwayne McDuffie.
Alex RobsonHOST
29:48
Guys, you should go watch this.
Alex RobsonHOST
29:50
I'm not
Lee EberhartGUEST
3:05
I do.
Lee EberhartGUEST

I remember, I think it was more closer to Spider-Man 2, there was a rumor that Thomas Jane was gonna show up as The Punisher.
Lee EberhartGUEST
3:12
So, and then there's a guy in the background who looks like Thomas Jane in one scene, and I don't know if it really ended up being Thomas Jane, but I always thought that was kind of cool.
Lee EberhartGUEST
3:21
But once they started announcing all these Marvel movies all over the place, everybody was excited that we were gonna have a Marvel universe, like a real Marvel universe.

...
AdamHOST

Cotton reports that the mantra of, "What you see here, stays here," uh, was repeated multiple times by the executives.
AdamHOST
31:17
But first off, Feige addresses a recent online rumor that Sam Neill had been cast to play Dr. Octopus in Spider-Man 2.
AdamHOST
31:25
But he responds saying, quote, "He might do a great job, but I don't know where this came from." [laughs] Still, in an attempt to prevent any actual leaks, it's revealed that the job of story editor Jason Miller is to have interns shred copies of old scripts.
Kevin SmetsGUEST

People will be so amped.
Kevin SmetsGUEST
25:38
And I think with Spider-Man 2, they had the homecoming, right? It was homecoming.
Kevin SmetsGUEST
25:42
far from home uh no way home i think the new branding will be day so you know you have brand new day and i mean that's not i can't do doomsday but there'll be two more days i think that venom would probably be the next movie or at least he gets the symbiote suit and you end the trilogy with venom but you would introduce miles maybe in the third movie so then he would take the next trilogy after uh holland wraps up this second trilogy but i do agree with you i think there'll be a sequel
Kristian HarloffHOST
26:05
sure
EllisHOST
30:57
okay which one would i talk about first Should we do Spider-Man

HenryGUEST
31:23
My favorite bands, the Beatles as well.
Jake SandersHOST

Brand New Day is like a coherent, clean movie.
Jake SandersHOST
8:59
I think I was overall surprised with how much I liked the new Spider-Man in the sense that it felt like very Sam Raimi-esque it felt very 2002 like it felt very like Spider-Man 2 to me in the sense of like it's Spider-Man being a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man with this larger conflict at hand and having to actually deal with like the the ins and outs of the emotions of that plus you have the Mary Jane stuff So it was okay.
Jake SandersHOST
9:24
It was okay.
Jake SandersHOST
9:26
It felt a lot less like the Marvel structured formulaic stuff we've been having for the last 10 years.
