Ep. 347 - Not Yet Koch Level

Yeah, so here we are.

We sit still in a position of coming into this week, playing the Guardians in a position of we could be in a lot worse spot.

Absolutely.

I'm not here to make excuses and say it's a long season and don't fret over it.

There were a lot of things I didn't like about this week.

There were a lot of things specifically about today that vexed me.

There were Boy, oh boy.

Aside from, I mean, there was the power, obviously, but you also saw just feel like everything kind of went against us over the past week.

There was bloop hits that turned into doubles.

There was, I can't remember how many times I heard the announcers say that ball served into right field, not hit hard.

And it just seemed like the breaks didn't go our way.

And this week was like that.

And that's going to happen in baseball.

And we'll talk about it.

We'll break it down.

You kind of live and die by the home run over this week, too.

And we're unable to really manufacture any kind of real offense outside of home runs here or there or scoring early.

And then nothing happens for a long, long time.

So it felt like watching the same game over and over again.

But Listen, you're in a position, you're a game back of the Guardians who also are struggling, who are also dealing with injuries.

The good news is you're coming home.

We've talked about it last week about how this team just seems to be a different team at home.

Hopefully that continues and they can bounce back.

And they've shown us all year that they have that ability.

They had that ability in the stretch of when they were out in Minnesota and didn't play very good baseball and came back and were able to overcome that and come back to the team that we had kind of fallen in love with last week.
