Final Overreactions to NBA Preseason!

And there's a couple of ones that I want to talk about, like off the rip.

The first one I've enjoyed Franz Wagner point guard option in preseason.

He had six assists tonight to two turnovers.

Sean Sweeney is running the offense a lot.

through him and I know it happened a lot in their first preseason game but some of their point guards didn't play in that one but no it's been legit when he's been out there with Jason Richardson Desmond Bain Jalen Suggs um Anthony Black we haven't I believe seen yet in preseason I don't think I saw him tonight yeah like Anthony I was he doing I guess he's dealing with an injury I don't know off the top of my head I know he's not getting extended before the year starts but either way like Franz Wagner's assist numbers are legit I don't know why I had to like Can we sort that? Yeah, like he averaged six assists in the first three games of preseason.

And then he also had let's not have that play.

And then he also had what I say six tonight as well.

Like Franz Wagner is kind of it's funny, too, because I always said like Josh Giddey should play more like Franz Wagner.

Now it feels like Franz Wagner is playing more like Josh Giddey, which could actually work for this team.

And it's allowing Paolo to be more of a screener.

in the pick and roll.

He's not the ball hander, which is what they should do.

And he's being used more as a roller.

And majority of Apollo shots are coming around the basket, like two threes for Apollo.

That's what I like to see.

I mean, I think overall in preseason, he's been averaging what, like 2.7 threes per 20 minutes per game.

at least in the first three games and just two tonight, that's where he should be living.

No more than that.

Paulo is not a good three-point shooter.

He's not a good mid-range shooter.

So sometimes when you have Paulo as the pick-and-roll ball handler, he picks up his dribble early, and he's taking that 16-foot elbow jumper, that 18-foot corner jumper, baseline jumper.

It's not what you want from Paulo.

You want him as the roller.

as a downhill driver attacking the basket.

And Franz has been able to find him throughout preseason so far.
