We got an email from the Sacramento Kings celebrating 9-1-6 day today.

So today is historically the day where the Kings announce a bunch of stuff for the upcoming season.

... about who gets those backup point guard minutes, although I think Ben Simmons is, is heavily favored in that matchup, the idea that the Kings brought Alfred Payton in to be the backup point guard so that they could use Ben Simmons differently, I don't think I subscribe to and I don't think I get behind.

Because if they were looking at Ben Simmons as, "Oh, we could play you at the four then"-

We believe both of them will be coming off the bench, but you have to try and figure out how to manage their mis- minutes and let them coexist.

Mm-hmm.

You've got Precious Achiuwa, who you've obviously brought back, and Precious was a very important member of the Kings last year.

Granted, the Kings weren't very good, but Precious Achiuwa was a good story, and the Kings obviously wanted to keep him around.

And the Kings have announced that on October, I believe, I want to say it's October 14th, is Fan Fest, which you can go and see the Kings practice before the season begins.

And usually the rookies are forced to perform.
