I think I've said this before, but I mean, it's also just the music that you, like the first music that becomes like your favorite music when you're like a teenager, when you start to sort of divulge music.

from what your parents give you or what your older siblings or whatever, that's, it's just in your DNA forever.

And I think that's been a bit of a journey for me is sort of reconciling with that and becoming comfy with that.

Because I think for a while I was like, it was like almost like a source of embarrassment for me, like sort of those, those easy comparisons.
Yeah, but it seems like that Winnipeg hate-love relationship is at the heart of so many Winnipegger band lyrical content.
I call it like the city of hidden gems in that if you were just driving through and you weren't catching it on like... three week window in the spring or fall where the weather is not too hot and not too cold.
And like, if you were just driving through, you'd be like, I'm not sure about this town, but if you spend even like a day or two there, or you meet a few people from there, I find that like, if you can kind of get sucked into the vortex of Winnipeg, you're going to have like an incredible meal.
You're going to catch some, you know, awesome songwriters and there's going to be like something really cool that's going to, I don't know, like I've had almost nothing but a good time in Winnipeg.

I don't think we don't want to, we don't like leave us, you know, we don't want, we don't want to be controlled.
And like, but like, you can't see it unless you like, unless you know, like there's like a barrier, like it just looks like mountains.
And then like, if you, if you like have the code or whatever, then you can see it's like this incredible.
