We're recording today from the Millennium Library in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, which is within Treaty 1 Territory, the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe, Innu, and Dakota peoples, and in the national homeland of the Red River Métis.

Our drinking water comes from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation in Treaty 3 Territory.

I'm assuming it's a podcast made by a fan as opposed to like a professional radio show or something from an official organization.

So are we a fan cast? No, we work for Winnipeg Public Library.

But we're fans of books and we're not professionals.
