DawgNation Daily -- the daily podcast for Georgia Bulldogs fans Beginning of the show: I discuss Georgia's win against Oklahoma and what it demonstrates about UGA's culture. 15-minute mark: I react…
I want to begin today with asking a question that you may have heard somebody ask before.
Do you think a fish knows that it's in water? My guess is that it probably doesn't.
When you're immersed in something and surrounded by something, that thing you're immersed in and surrounded by, it almost can become to a certain extent invisible.
You know, last week on the show, I gave a little bit of a warning of, hey, be careful that your evaluation of UGA isn't more harsh than Kirby Smart's is.
Some Georgia fans had some... tough questions, some critique of what you had seen from UGA in that spot, but we compared that to Kirby Smart in the post-game press conference, and Kirby was actually, to a degree, a good bit happier than some Georgia fans were.
Saying all of that, and of course we did say that last week, I have to admit that in many respects, sometimes as a fan, I'm not any different than you.
You know, Georgia goes up, what is it, Final 41-13 on Saturday against Oklahoma? I would say that I am like most of you.
We have the cognitive awareness to allow us to say – My gosh, Oklahoma is one of the winningest programs in college football history.
If you are skating by that easily against Oklahoma, just logically, you've had a very good day.
Our logic and our reason dictates to us that this was a very good day for Georgia.
While we are logically capable of analyzing this game and saying, my gosh, Georgia's 4-0.
They easily beat a team that a lot of folks thought was going to be a very dangerous opponent.
