101. David Pepose Returns to The O.Z. and Talks the Future of Space Ghost

Thank you.

Thank you.

Yeah.

A hundred is not, was not in my mind when we started this, uh, and this show had roots as a whole different thing.

It was supposed to just be me rambling about different topics.

And then, um, Amy from dynamite reached out some years ago and was like, Hey, actually Nick reached out first.

It was like, can you interview some of our writers? Yeah.

Amy, schedule it.

And so we started off with Sweeney Boo and been rolling ever since.

And somehow, you know, we've had several people make return trips.

I think this is your third or fourth appearance.

Sounds about right.

So yeah, and somehow all that adds up to 100 episodes.

And I am grateful to each of you for allowing me to help you spread the word about your projects, for being able to help you tell your stories and tell some of the stories behind them.

I like to think that when this is all said and done, there will be some kid that discovers this archive of conversations years from now, maybe even your kid.

And it's like, man, dad was really cool in 2026.

So, you know, hopefully.

Yeah, if you're bringing this up, we just were talking about it.

I have a baby on the way, my first.

So, yeah, I'm literally recording this interview in my future daughter's nursery.

She's going to be born next month.

So, yeah, I guess if you watch this down the line, Sweet Pea, this is Dad speaking.

I hope you enjoy this interview as I talk about all things Space Ghost and Speed Racer and the OZ.

But yeah, that's wild.

I hadn't really thought about that before.
