deserve 10 out of 10? If you heard the Old Guard episode that we did, I named off a shit ton of 10 out of 10 movies.

Milksteak went with maybe an anti-shelf pick of The Old Guard with Charlize Theron, a movie I think I professionally wrote about and I can't tell you a single second about.

I haven't seen that one.

Yeah, I think I got a sequel because that's another idea.

The, um, you know, I had a pretty typical, um, uh, infantry career in some ways, in some ways not.

Um, coming out of, uh, for those familiar with the Army, coming out of the advanced course, um, the, uh, the assignment that I got was to the Third Infantry Regiment, the Old Guard in Washington, DC.

Yeah.

So, um, I had the distinct, distinct honor of, uh, commanding the Honor Guard Company, which includes the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier-

It was, like, movie that Charlize Theron vehicle.

You know Old Guard? The Old Guard.

[laughs] Yeah.

I, so I have The Old Guard.

Just so you people that know, at home know that I have the prop, um, weapon and the real weapon, both, both of, both of these nuts in my living room in my Frigidaire.

That makes me feel safe.

See, it is hard, but this, this movie reminds me a little bit, obviously like there's an, there's an, it follows feeling a little bit to this, like the difference slightly, but it reminds me, did you ever, I think I watched it with you.

The old guard.

I remember the old

guard.

Because some of those rocks they pull out of the quarry get polished into massive cultural phenomenons like they become the Umbrella Academy.

They become the old guard.

Right.

But others just sit in a dark room for five years and vanish.

That's a really good point.

Okay, I have to ask about a massive fan favorite before we leave the live action space.

What is going on with The Old Guard 3?

This is a perfect example of fan desire crashing into slate reality.

Rarely explored.

There's a, there's a comic and, and movie called The Old Guard where they keep coming back to life after they die, and they're just like, "Yeah, it fucking sucks."
