D23 2026 was AWESOME! From Disney Movies/TV to the Parks and Lorcana! Some of the main highlights were the MCU X-Men cast, the Star Wars Ahsoka S2 trailer, and our first look at the Bluey movie! On…
Even if – that, I feel like, for the movies and TV section was probably the biggest announcement of them all, which kind of piggybacks off of one of our last episodes was – x-men let's just start off with that marvel you know really came and showed off a big part of the cast a lot we kind of predicted through rumors there were some surprises and um i feel like we should give our take on them but i mean i can run through real quick because like i said this is like this is a big important part and we got these are the main characters that they called out onto the stage we got storm cyclops Jean Grey, Rogue, Emma Frost, and Professor X.
And then we have one special character as well, which we'll talk about after because he was not there.
But so for Storm, we got my boy who came out of absolutely nowhere.
No one was talking about her.
No rumors, none of the trades.
I mean, she's a theater actress.
She has really no film credit at all.
What is your take on this casting?
Yeah, I mean, it's an interesting...
So it's funny that you said this because last episode, yeah, we were kind of...
We gave a little bit of our input of what we were hearing and the rumors.
And obviously, little by little, some people were getting announced.
And then, of course, Beast...
You know, at that time was backing out and it was true.
Exactly.
And we kind of were like, is it going to happen right before G23? It does seem like some of our rumor to to kind of touch back on what we kind of predicted is maybe money driven related contract.
Like, who knows? Whatever.
But we got actual announcements.
And this one was one of the ones that kind of.
surprise a lot of people.
There's a couple that did, but this one was one of the ones that was not really even in the talks of potentially being Storm or being anyone in the new X-Men or Marvel in general.
The interesting part, though, is that there is a connection with some of these because majority of the ones that have officially been announced at some point in time have been in theater.
or done actual like you know plays broadway whatever it might be and it seems like they're going that acting route with a lot of these you know i think there's only one that actually hasn't been uh but this was one of those but it's the rest of them have been in stuff though yeah and they've acted in movies not just on stage so this one was kind of surprising because it was more of someone who was really like you go on her imdb it's like non-existent like One of those ones that you, yeah, you find like if someone that you happen to be friends with was part of a movie, they'll have an IMDb and it's blank.
Like, that's kind of like what this girl was.
