On this episode, we're dining live from the Plaza Restaurant at Magic Kingdom to taste its current limited time Halloween offerings.

So today we're gonna take you back inside Magic Kingdom for another dining review, which means you're not just gonna hear what we thought about the food after the fact.

You're coming right to the table with us at the Plaza Restaurant, 'cause this one is live.

So the Plaza's been one of those very consistently good Magic Kingdom restaurants for us, and it may not always be the first restaurant people mention when they start listing the biggest dining experiences at Walt Disney World, but every single time we go the food's good, the service is good, uh, we love the atmosphere, and we leave kind of knowing that we're gonna be back probably pretty soon.

I think that's fair.

All right.

I'm going to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios.

All right.

It just means that you may not be in the parks as much, but you're still going to get just as much value out of it.

Now, does that mean I'm doing the single pass every time I go to magic kingdom? Like if I go to magic kingdom three days during my vacation, I'm not necessarily buying the single pass for seven doors, mine train.

And for, um, Tron ever, all three, all three nights.

Or the same with Guardians of the Galaxy or Rise of the

but it's not, it's not like the magic kingdom view.

Right.

I know what the prices are.

The get-in price to go to a Hurricanes game in the regular season, if you're going to sit in the lower bowl, is actually more expensive than a ticket to get into the Magic Kingdom.

Okay? Concession prices match that of the Magic Kingdom.

Beer prices are actually cheaper in the Magic Kingdom.

Okay? Mm-hmm.

So I get that there's a difference in volume of people coming through and all this stuff.

And also, the parade Magic Happens is returning next year.

For those in Florida, this may not seem like much of an announcement, as for years the Magic Kingdom regularly has had a daytime parade.

That is, of course, with the exception of the COVID period.

At Disneyland, though, there have been long periods without a daytime parade.

it might also be possible to rework the track course so that with a bridge or two, cars could then loop around this new track course twice along parallel roads so that the new ride is the same length.

Also on my list of things that are likely staying is Buzz Lightyear.

As I've mentioned, Buzz Lightyear is likely to get a similar upgrade package to what just opened at the Magic Kingdom in Florida.

The Buzz Lightyear attraction there has been refreshed with new targets, new onboard shooters and targeting systems, and the attraction works well and gets a sizable line most days.

Between the two parks, do you do a lot of park hopping or do you prefer to like kind of just stick to one?

We usually, I'm a Magic Kingdom first girl.

Disneyland Park, I'm always in Disneyland Park first and Magic Kingdom first when we hit Disney World.

So we usually head there first.

If we go in sort of early in the day, then the next day we'll do Adventure World.

Reports from the time are not very forthcoming on the events surrounding the tragedy, and the city of Gatlinburg likes for people to only have a good time when visiting.

Tourism is Gatlinburg's number one industry, and much like Disney's Magic Kingdom in Florida, where critically and mortally injured patrons are taken across the street to the hospital in the town of Celebration to be pronounced dead.

This way, they can sort of truthfully make the claim that no one has ever died in the Magic Kingdom, although that's not exactly true.

Gatlinburg wants to keep things like murders and suicides and children falling to their deaths from hotel balconies on the quiet and down low.

The tourism dollars of Gatlinburg and of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the most visited national park in the United States, with visitors easily numbering over the million mark every year.

So I'm excited for the Piston Peak and Cars ride.

And Magic Kingdom's Frontierland expansion shows detailed scale models of Piston Peak National Park.

So the fact that they're making an actual car ride that's going to be like that will be pretty cool.

Now, I didn't see all of the models and stuff like that.

I just found it interesting that it's going to be the same technology basically as Test Track, but now it's going to be in the Magic Kingdom as well as what they have over in Epcot with Test Track, which is why cars work so well in California because it wasn't the same exact ride.

It was... ride adjacent to Test Track, but it was also so much better because, you know, you have that one stretch where you do race the other car in California.
