The crew return within a month of the last episode, yeah I know right, and talk about the Apple iPhone Event in September, 2026. Just like old times, no-one either all likes or all hates any one part…
So, I wanted to cover a specific topic tonight.
But before we do, Vic, you had said something to me a few weeks ago, and I...
At first, didn't believe you.
I'm like, surely Vic has been keeping up with the tech blogosphere and Apple blogosphere and everything.
And I'm asking you a couple of questions.
And then you told me a story about that.
Yeah.
So basically, I can't even remember a date or a time frame anymore, but- Let's just say sometime in the past, and it wasn't even intentional at the time.
It just kind of happened.
I completely checked out of the Apple bubble and the tech bubble, really.
I stopped following any blogs about it.
I paid even less attention to the social medias than I used to.
I quit listening to just about all podcasts for a long time, and I kind of found, like, it didn't happen suddenly, but one day there was kind of a sudden revelation that, like, You know, I think I'm actually kind of happier and more at peace.
And a more interesting side effect to it is I'm happy with all my tech and my hardware and my devices.
And I don't feel the constant need to have all the latest and greatest things.
And, you know, because my things work and they meet my needs and I'm satisfied with them.
And I don't feel like they're inadequate or insufficient anymore.
Not feeling the constant urge to upgrade or like I'm missing out.
No FOMO.
All kinds of, I'm just going to call it peace.
I think like the only thing I bought with an Apple logo in the past couple of years was a new pair of AirPods Pros because my old ones died.
And it's been really nice and really peaceful.
Listeners.
