Ferrari F40

It was a great era, though, because things like Jaguar X2, 220s, Bugatti EB110s, McLaren, all this.

I'd just missed the F40.

But all this really cool stuff.

And I was around for the F50.

I know, but that's over the top, but I get it.

Anytime you have where the, for like the 308, the pop-up headlights are the only headlights, but on the F40, you get headlights, but you also get the pop-ups.

So it creates a really cool dynamic.

We're lucky enough to know a few people that have Ferrari F40s.

Lewis Hamilton has recently announced that he's restored a Ferrari F40.

My mind always goes to Countach, but I think Stratos might be the correct answer.

Because it's just so, I mean, even like an F40 is pretty wedgy.

Yeah, like Stratos does look like a slice of a pie graph, whereas an F40 is just a bit flat.

I think it was Sue Baker, as often was the case, who, shall we say, gave the most logical response, which was, and she said, I suspect what really inflamed the critics is the fact that this high-speed car is a Vauxhall.

How many senior policemen or senior lobbyists protested when the 201-mile-per-hour Ferrari F40 made its debut, for example? Yet they did when the Lotus Carlton's 176 miles per hour top speed was revealed.

And maybe that was the heart of the matter.

Although it is, you know, clearly a specialist vehicle, it has a trace resemblance to a standard large family saloon, you know, and it wears a Vauxhall badge.
