In this episode of Beyond the Screen, Ryan and Jake break down Other Mommy's box office victory and the steep drop for The Social Reckoning and Digger. On this episode the guys dive into Michael Bay…
So let's get into our first segment, which is always Box Office.
Let's start with seeing how we did from this past weekend in terms of predictions.
Every, uh, each and every single week, we come back in and we try to predict what the following weekend's gonna look like in terms of the top five at the box office.
I'm not doing too hot again.
Right as I, I get within four-
... then Jake and, and the bot outrun me just a little bit.
So as you can see on your screen, I got two out of five, felt confident after getting two out of five.
Jake, of course, gets three.
Um, I predicted Other Mommy, uh, Verity, The Social Reckoning, Resident Evil, and Heart of the Beast was my five, only getting the first two correct.
Jake predicted something very similar to me, predicting Other Mommy, Verity at one and two, getting those two right, but made a great call with Resident Evil sticking at three, and that gets him his one through three correct and, again, getting his three out of five for the weekend.
He finished out his predictions with The Social Reckoning and Heart of the Beast, getting those two incorrect.
And lastly, TJ, who I know might be a little popular, but we compete against the AI.
He predicted-
Yeah, yeah.
He predicted Other Mommy and Verity at one and two, getting those two correct, then predicting Heart of the Beast at three and Resident Evil at four, getting both of those incorrect before rounding out his top five strong and getting correct The Social Reckoning at five.
That puts our season totals to 90 with Jake up and in the lead by a good margin, TJ in second at 83, and me in dead last at 82.
So still a tight race.
As we've seen, despite that big lead, all it takes is one or two good weeks before this thing is right back into a tight competition.
So, uh, even with a lead, things are still right there as we get into the second half of the season in terms of the predictions for the, the honor to have the, the trophy for top predictor at the box office.
So anyway, it's fun.
Me and TJ are vying for two.
Again, I fought.
