The Oslo Accords: Security Failures and Their Lasting Consequences

As part of the Oslo Accords, Israel agreed that the PLO, the PA, would set up a 12,000 man strong Palestinian police force.

That small police force has now grown into a 70,000 man strong terror army.

There are no longer policemen, there are soldiers.

Why and how did we get to this situation? We can't say that only the PA is bad here.

Part of the problem is that Israel never stood up for itself.

The root of all evil always comes back to the Oslo Accords.

kill the Oslo Accords? In the wake of an international pile-on to the so-called settler violence phenomenon, Israel once again finds itself at the center of a narrative war with high costs, with sanctions against Israeli individuals and organizations, international condemnation and heated internal political struggles.

Lieutenant Colonel in Reserves Maurice Hirsch says part of the solution lies in putting Oslo to bed once and for all.
