There was also that initial delay in calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.

And so I think that a lot of Labor politicians, Labor members, have been just quite upset at how they have felt the government hasn't taken a moral lead on this, even though actually on paper you can see how the Labor government has moved so much in its position on Israel and Palestine.

You know, it, it, it has, you know, called for, you know, it has officially recognized a Palestinian state, moved to ban quite a lot of arms sales to Israel and so on.

But it just, I think Labor people have felt like they haven't had a hearing on that, and they have lost voters over it.

He's a politician.

So he feels like his job is to inject the ideas, the politics, the values, where it's sort of most interesting.

And so Israel-Palestine is the big priority, and the other priority is climate diplomacy.

He's just sort of taking everything he did in the old job and bringing it onto the international stage.

As abolitionist praxis.

It has been consistent with the Black feminist, Black left feminist praxis to be in solidarity with Palestine.

Prefigurative political praxis.

There's a difference between, um, solidarity as a political value and solidarity as organizing practice.

There are a couple more examples.

The West Bank? Okay.

The W- right.

But this even ties in with the superhero conversation we were having.

She has a part in it where like an elder person in Palestine is saying to her, listen, Marina, we're not superheroes.

It's not something special to live in Palestine under occupation.

We're just humans.

Shocked that people say free Palestine.

I'm very pleased today to be joined by Stacey Gilbert, who is a former senior civil-military advisor in the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, where she worked for more than 20 years in humanitarian emergencies and refugee crises worldwide.

They can also fund local organizations that are working there, but it's a big gap to fill when you don't have U.S. funding, not just U.S. financial support, but also when you don't have U.S. political support.

It's hard to get by.

All right, let's move over to Israel-Palestine, and let's talk about the fact that 12 countries have banned products that are produced in settlements.

Yeah, a group of 12 countries announced on Tuesday that they are banning goods produced in Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

That list of countries includes the U.K., most prominently France, also quite prominently Canada, a number of other European countries.

There was a conference in Chicago, September 4th to the 7th, and I'm going to show you some of the titles.

Freedom is a Constant Struggle, Palestine,

Internationalism,

Abolitionism, Against Tech Oligarchy, Worker Resistance to the World's Most Powerful Industry, Health Fascism, Body Politics, and the Anti-State State.

I want to defend America.

He wants to represent Palestine.

I want to represent Michigan.

And when the radical Islamic terrorists threaten Americans, we don't need a senator searching for excuses.

Look how quickly you get riot police there.

Yet for the free Palestine that we've had now for the last two years or whatever it is, not a sausage, not a bean.

No, there's an incredible hypocrisy.

Paddy, have you followed this business about the fact that these patriots turned up at a couple of ports on the southern part of the UK to protest peacefully? No crimes were committed, no violence, everything was peaceful.
