I'm Sarah Martina Zamir, and my guest today is Brigadier General Ernest Audino, who served 28 years in the U.S. Army.

He was executive assistant to the vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and deputy director of operations, readiness, and mobilization at Army headquarters.

I'm hearing a lot of similarities between your experience with the Kurds and at least our experience here in Israel.

We're talking about two indigenous groups that are native here to the Middle East who, one, unfortunately did not get their sovereignty, one who did and whose enemies are not across an ocean, but they're very much at their doorstep.

I'm curious to hear from you, and you touched on this a little bit in our conference hosted by the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs, talking about Israel's strategic terrain here in the region and the importance of being able to defend those borders.

I want to get your opinion on specifically on the northern frontier between Israel's border between Israel and Lebanon and Syria, as well as Israel's border with Gaza.

economic burden of Israel's security challenges are all weighing heavily on the electorate.

But is there a credible alternative? Could Naftali Bennett or Gaddi Eisenkot succeed where so many others have failed? And could Bibi win the most seats yet still lose power? It's always a pleasure to meet up in London with Dan Diker, president of the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs, an Israeli think tank specializing in national security, Middle East geopolitics and international diplomacy.

We discuss the battle for Israel's political future, the consequences for Jewish communities around the world, and why Dan believes Israel's standing is rising in the Middle East even as its reputation suffers in the West.

Is this simply another Israeli election or a historic turning point for the Jewish state?

And so an even more far-reaching outcome of that downward turn in support are sanctions against Israel that are being prepared as we speak now in London.

against Israel, the resolutions of stopping all military aid to Israel, and all based on complete nonsense in terms of Israel's war, what they call disproportionate response, Israel's war in Gaza, would be very clear and quote Colonel Richard Koepp, Britain's number one senior officer in the war in Afghanistan, who said there is no country in the world that has taken greater care to protect non-combatants than the state of Israel, and particularly in Gaza.

And it is, and Colonel Kemp, of course, is a fellow of the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs, and it has also been said most recently, just before I landed at Heathrow, with another, with the general, General Ernie Audino of the U.S. military.

He's now retired, but he said exactly the same thing that that Lieutenant, that Colonel Kemp said as well.

The plan includes provisions for pre-emptive strikes, enhanced military independence and the formation of new alliances.

This strategic shift comes as a report from the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs alleges that Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC, financially benefits from the sex trafficking of Iranian women and the exploitation of refugees to fund its regional proxy wars, according to research fellow Ella Rosenberg.

In developments concerning US policy and the upcoming Israeli election, former US President Donald Trump issued a complete and total endorsement for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, just nine days before the October 27 election.

Trump warned that if Netanyahu is not re-elected, the United States might be compelled to confront the threat from Iran alone, a prospect he expressed reluctance towards.

The IDF also exposed Hamas infrastructure operating under the guise of a charity organization.

A new analysis by the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs, JCFA, claims that Hezbollah exploits the European Union's failure to designate its political wing as a terrorist organization.

According to the analysis, this allows the Iran-backed group to launder money from human trafficking and other criminal activities through front companies and trade networks in Europe, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.

In a significant diplomatic move, Colombia officially opened its embassy in Jerusalem, becoming the tenth country to establish a diplomatic mission in the Israeli capital.
