Seventeen Jewish summer camps targeted in February for hiring Israeli staff.

And now, according to a report obtained exclusively by The Hub from NGO Monitor, we know more about who is behind some of these activities, including the National Two Weeks of Action targeting more than 100 Canadian Jewish charities, businesses, and community institutions.

What began two years ago as scattered complaints has been hardened into a coordinated standing campaign against Jewish civic life in Canada, and it is still accelerating.

The National Two Weeks of Action is a campaign organized by Just Peace Advocates and the Canadian BDS Coalition that builds directly on an earlier campaign, Defund Racism.

And in both, that information failed to translate into action.

Ottawa clearly has a problem effectively linking knowing and doing, one that runs from procurement offices that don't check security files before signing contracts to a charities regulator that hasn't yet asked why registered nonprofits are targeting Jewish camps and businesses while building on the same coalition as a listed terrorist group.

While the Samdioun connections are perhaps the most troubling aspect of the NGO monitor report, it also highlights the growing network of entities openly targeting Jewish civic society in Canada.

It documents a project by an outlet called The Maple, which The Hub has reported on previously, which built a database identifying Canadians alleged to have served in the Israel Defense Forces, expanding by August 2026 to over 200 names with personal details attached, and then produced a follow-up database naming Jewish schools, synagogues, and summer camps in the greater Toronto area.

Additionally, jpost.com looks back at the 2001 UN World Conference Against Racism in Durban, South Africa, calling it the birthplace of modern anti-Israel rhetoric.

Gerald Steinberg, founder of NGO Monitor, described it as a blueprint for accusing Israel of genocide and starvation and war crimes, with strategies and language originating from the NGO forum.

and a preceding conference in Tehran.

Domestically, a critical assessment from Newsil suggests that the Isingcock government marks the beginning of the end for Israel, signalling grave concerns about its leadership and national consequences.

The slanderous 1975 UN resolution equating Zionism with racism was rec-resurrected despite having been repealed in 1991.

Gerald Steinberg, the founder and president of NGO Monitor, a think tank focusing, as its name suggests, on non-governmental organizations, is here to talk to us about how and why those poisonous seeds were planted and what they've grown into a quarter century later.

In your assessment, will this next set of sanctions succeed?

I've written about it in my newspaper about different reports that have come.

NGO Monitor put up a bunch of reports on this that, for example, Places like Qatar, the George Soros Foundation's tides and all this have been giving money over the years to universities.

Obviously, they never put it in writing.

You have to teach this and this.

Netanyahu reportedly made the comparison in the context of ensuring Iran does not acquire nuclear weapons.

Separately, internal Hamas documents, declassified by the IDF and translated by NGO Monitor, allegedly show direct and systematic coordination between the Norwegian Centre for Conflict Resolution, known as NOREF, and senior Hamas officials.

According to NGO Monitor, these documents indicate Hamas viewed NOREF as a strategic channel for influencing European Union policy and mitigating its international isolation.

One document from July 2021 reportedly details a meeting between Hamas officials and a NOREF delegation aimed at mediating the relationship between Hamas and the European Union.

and soliciting Hamas input on how to interface with European leaders.
