Just on the polling, Roy, I mean, I don't know how easy it is to do polls in the, the occupied territories, but there's a poll that was sent to me, Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research, and two really interesting things.

We begin with significant shifts in Palestinian public sentiment, according to a new poll by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research.

Support for Hamas has seen a sharp decline, falling from 35% to 24% over the past 10 months, now matching support for Fatah.

The survey, presented by PSR Director Khalil Shikaki, indicates broad distrust in Palestinian political leadership, with 44% stating neither Hamas nor Fatah under Mahmoud Abbas deserves to represent them.

I think that the approach is a bit mixed, and this is because we find statements by figures associated with Palestinian Islamic Jihad, for instance, where these figures underscore the importance of armed resistance, the unwillingness to abdicate armed resistance.

Just three days ago, on 12 August, PCPSR, the polling nonprofit that is based in Palestine, the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research, PCPSR, published its most recent polling, poll number 97, and here it found that the overwhelming majority of polled Palestinians, 72%, say that Hamas should not disarm before Israel fully withdraws from the Gaza Strip, and only 20% said that it should do so.

And additionally, an overwhelming majority, 72%, said that they believe that if Hamas were to disarm, the war in Gaza would resume and Israel would not fully withdraw from the Strip.

So it should also be noted that a large majority, 69%, 10 months ago had opposed Hamas's disarming, with only 29% supporting it.

Jewish visitors were seen praying from Sidrim, and also permitted to sing and dance under police supervision.

In the Palestinian territories, a new poll by the Palestinian Centre for Policy and Survey Research indicates a decline in support for Hamas and widespread dissatisfaction with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

Conducted between August 5th and 8th among 1,270 Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, the survey shows that while Hamas's popularity has fallen, its leader Khalil al-Hayya still commands more support than President Abbas.

The poll suggests 82% in the West Bank and 74% in Gaza want Abbas to resign, viewing the PA as a burden.
