Based on a True Story

So, today, we're gonna cover a subject that is very close to my heart.

Um, horror movies that are based on true stories, or I guess the stories that the movies are based on...

Because this isn't a podcast where we kind of just like sit and hash out The Exorcist.

But if you want to like finance that, our email is afternoonifiedpod.gmail.com.

Yeah, we would do.

I would love to do a podcast where we just like talk about movies we saw, but like not in the way that we were analyzing them, but just like retelling the story.

I'm sure there's a market for that.

Um, I don't know.

I will do a thing where if I really like a horror movie specifically, I will see it once for entertainment and then a second time for analysis.

I've seen Backrooms twice.

I almost saw it a third time this week because they have a version that has 15 extra minutes of footage, but I haven't gotten around to it.

Yeah, yeah.

Sometimes I'll find myself analyzing it in the middle of the fucking movie and just knock it off.

It's not what we're here for.

Enjoy a thing.

I'm just trying to watch Supergirl, goddammit.

That movie made me cry, like, four times.

Anyway, so, hauntings and exorcisms.

Because the other Based on a True Story category is serial killers, and I don't want to do that right now.

Ugh,

yeah.

done with serial killers

that might be all just well that might be part two because there are a couple movies where you're like that was based on a real thing um

and then you read the real thing and it's like fucking crazy lesson oh i was gonna say sometimes it's no usually less interesting

no i'm thinking of one specifically the movie had matthew mcconaughey in it um fuck
