There's a little bit of a Twilight Zone-

matinees of monster movies and sci-fi films in the 50s so I gained a real love for kind of monster movies at the time and then you know at midnight on Saturday night there was the horror marathon of old universal horror films and So I was a big fan of those.

And the Twilight Zone was my Friday night staple.

So, yeah, I grew up loving horror films.

So you were part of the monster kit generation where growing up with the famous monsters of Filmland magazine.

Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of man, that state is obsolete.

A case to be filed under M for Mankind in the Twilight Zone.

you don't connect the dots, it's just a mass of what's all this about.

Now, we're also seeing a lot of same kinds of stories.

Will they have to grow to become permanent entertainment mediums?

I do like the idea of, are we living in the Twilight Zone? No.

He was in the classic Glenn Ford movie Blackboard Jungle, the infamous Howard Hughes flop, The Conqueror, the gladiator epic Spartacus, and he started working in television almost as soon as the medium existed, and wound up in all those old single sponsor anthology shows.

As the years went on, he wound up in Gunsmoke, Leave It to Beaver, The Untouchables, and the Twilight Zone, and he just kept going and going and going as the years went by without even a pause for breath.

In terms of genre work, he did The Time Travelers, also an MST3K, and X: The Man with the X-Ray Eyes, and he was Dr. Philip Boyce in the original pilot of Star Trek, the one that was repurposed into the two-parter The Menagerie, and the final episode of Kolchak: The Night Stalker, making him technically an HBH alumnus.

He was only ever a regular on one show, Gimme a Break!, where he played Grandpa Kanisky, but he did recurring appearances on everything from Hogan's Heroes to Perry Mason, and guest spots on any TV show that made it to a full season for about three solid decades.

He wasn't the original voice of the classic cartoon character, that was Alan Reed, but he doubled as Fred's singing voice whenever the character needed to belt out a tune, and once Reed passed away in 1977, he took over the role.

That was the beginning of a long stretch of voice work for him in all sorts of Hanna-Barbera productions, which followed a 30-year run of bit parts and character roles in everything from The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, to Abbott and Costello in The Foreign Legion, to The Ten Commandments, and took in plenty of TV work on all the major shows of the day.

High points would include The Adventures of Superman, The Twilight Zone, and My Favorite Martian.

But voice work quickly became his bread and butter, and he continued on with it almost right up until his death in 2005 at the age of 85.

I have written some books like under my previous pen name that had like no explicit anything in them.

They were just kind of like Twilight Zone kind of feel to

them.

And the thing is, is when I read books, I usually like to read things like... suspense and horror.

Another is a very close colleague for Ted Cruz, a young man I hired back on the campaign, ran Kanye West's campaign.

So it's been like Twilight Zone for me, you know, seeing my evolution in one direction and their evolution in another.

And I can talk for days about that.

But hopefully that gives you a sense.
