William S. Bowdern

Right.

The sources detail how Jesuit priests, um, most notably Father William S. Bowdern, conducted a grueling series of rites over roughly two months.

And the geography of this real life case is super fascinating because it wasn't just confined to a single spooky house in Maryland.

No, it moved around.

So when Father Bishop leaves Ronnie's house, the next day he goes to speak with a close friend.

His name is Father William Bowdern.

As Bishop continues to confer with him, the trouble, of course, at Roanoke doesn't go away, and Janice stops in to let him know what's happening.

So they return that night, I believe, to Ronnie's house, and they are armed with two of the parish's most valuable first-class relics.
