Yankees 2026 Season Wrap Up

Here's the thing.

So anyway, so yeah, they beat the Red Sox in two, which is great.

That helps them reset.

Get Garrett Cole to pitch the opening game of the division series.

Garrett Cole did his job.

One pitch was a mistake, but he did his job in the whole thing.

This is the part that floors me, okay? The last two times they faced Rasmussen, they make him look like Cy Young, okay? And clearly at the ALDS, they made him look like, you know, made him look again.

The one hit, and of course, the one hit turns into a blunder all in the same play with Austin Wells getting the double and then thinking he can get the third.

But...

Then you look at what the Guardians did against Rasmussen.

Now, granted, Rasmussen was good.

Eight strikeouts, no walks, but he gave up eight hits.

They were able to hit him.

They were able to put a run or two in.

And, you know, and that's, you know, you know.

There are teams that build themselves for the regular season and then hope things happen better in the playoffs.

And then there are teams that build themselves through the regular season and know what's necessary coming into the playoffs.

And I think that's kind of how I've looked at the way the Yankees have done it.

Okay.

Okay.

granted the home runs won a couple of these games, but putting pressure on the defense is what's really good about the four-team for me.

They put pressure on the defense.

I guess I'll stop there and let you go.

I think, you know, I've written down two questions regarding the Raze series.

Like, what were your takeaways and why did they lose...
