yeah um we do we have like a few you know injury notes to to touch on before we get to the uh you know overall trade deadline stuff but um i i think it'll just be interesting when we get to that like where you're at with this team and what they what you think they need because like A month ago, I think my answer would have been different.

I think I would have said they have more of a need in the bullpen, but I think if you shore up the catcher position with a decent hitter there, and maybe add another right-handed bat who can play multiple spots in the infield, I think that is probably more what the Yankees need than a bullpen arm.

It just so happens that the Padres gave up their top five prospect in all of baseball to get him.

yeah yeah it uh we'll we'll get to what the Padres are looking for there but it reminds me of a little bit of like the Soto situation when they were dealing him and looking for very specific things so maybe that's the uh angle for the Yankees to to get him this time around so um yeah but yeah let's get to you know last night it was a it was assumed that Max Freed was going to do one more rehab start and throw about 60 pitches.

Um, I think today, uh, and instead he is pitching game two of today's double header against the pirates.

Uh, I assume it's still going to be 60 pitches and the whole, uh, you know, continue building up from there.

But that was kind of cool to see that come down, uh, last night announced, um, I think just with the way that Ryan Weathers and Will Warren have been pitching as of late, it's, uh, uh, this is much needed.

Like the bottom hasn't dropped out with that, with him and wrote on out, but, uh, They very much need Max Freed if they want to go where they want to go in the playoffs.

I think it was very much of a surprise that they announced Freed was going to go in Game 2 as a doubleheader today.

But why not? I mean, I guess at this point, you're right, he's probably only going to pitch 60.

And so he's probably still available to pick it up after 60 pitches if necessary, or they could go to one of their long guys.

Maybe it's an injection that these Yankees need to – to keep picking the pace up a little bit.

So, you know, Cole had a really, really good game until his last pitch, the last game.
