96. Discovering ‘Inherent Belonging’ Through Travel with LGBTQ+ Travel Writer Lindsey Danis

Hello, hello, everyone, and welcome back to the Unruly Podcast.

First things first, happy Pride Month.

It's a very exciting time.

And as you know, this is a queer-created podcast.

We're always having queer guests on here.

Everything we talk about is queer, even beyond gender and sexuality.

So we are excited to celebrate you and each other all year long.

So far this year, I have attended two different Pride events, and they were both in very small rural towns in the South.

And I think if you're not from a place like

that, or you haven't spent a lot of time there, you might be like, wow, what? Um, but let me tell you, I have come

to the conclusion that rural prides are where it's at because you see so many different types of people there that you never expected to be at pride.

You never expected to be sporting a big old rainbow flag as a cape.

And for me, it really warms my heart, opens my heart, and reminds me that queer people are indeed everywhere.

In the show notes, I'm going to put a link to a video that I made recapping one of those events, and we're going to share the link to episode number 86 of the Unruly Podcast called Budding, Blossoming, and Becoming, Celebrating Queer Country Pride.

This is a special pride episode, and it is one of my all-time favorite episodes that we have ever done, hands down.
