I learned so much.

I will say that, um, you know, my buddy, uh, Richie Alexander, who runs the Hudson Valley Motorcycle Shop here in Ossining, has worked on a team with Michael-

Is that Prestige? Is that Prestige Motorcycle?

No, no, not Prestige.

People come from across the state to make motorcycles there.

I just think it's hilarious that it's called Prestige because of Step Brothers.

But, uh, no, um, Richie Alexander, who runs the Hudson Valley Motorcycle Shop in Ossining, um, and is the uncle of Corey Alexander, the, uh, very winning Arch Motorcycle rider, you know, he's, he's runs Keanu Reeves', uh, team.

Um, they've worked with Michael Jordan before, like, for a long time.

Now, the exact location of these downpours will have a big bearing on the impact from this.

If these downpours here that are showing up over the Hudson Valley ended up over New York City, that would have a much bigger impact in terms of flooding because that would be falling over an urban area and that would have a tough time running off.

So we're going to have to watch that possibility right now.

This particular model run showing the heaviest rain off to the north of the city.

Could be another brief shower Sunday night along a cold front behind that cooler and again noticeably less humid into the day on Monday.

So take this with a grain of salt.

It doesn't mean necessarily that this heaviest band is going to show up over the Hudson Valley.

It could easily be over the city as well.

Heavy rain with embedded thunderstorm activity takes us through the middle of the day tomorrow.

If you're west of the city, so generally parts of the lower Hudson Valley and New Jersey, by about midday you're done.

But it might take until one or two for the east end to clear out that rain as well.

And by then, some spots will have accumulated a few inches of rain possible.

That's where I live.

I live in the Hudson Valley, New York.

And they're going to be showcasing, with the exception of one cider that will have a bit of Dabonet in the blend, the rest will be all American varieties.

Not necessarily New York originating varieties, but grown and made in New York and showcasing what New York cider makers can do with the American varieties that they have.

The four ciders I have will be Wixom from Eve's Cidery, a single varietal, really delicious, sharp, and has a long history.

And then also I will have a blended cider from Hearts Be True, which is a small cidery near Catskill in the northern part of the Hudson Valley.

And then another blended cider from Scrumpy U, which is in the northern Cat Northwest Catskills.

uh which are different regions of new york it's a much larger state people think of new york city but it's a very large state and before uh the west pacific northwest of america became the predominant apple producing region new york state was the highest apple producing region at one point in history so there's a lot of apple history along with neighboring new england which is this People may be surprised to hear that there are varieties being developed in America, like some cases back to the 1600s.

Along this front, favorable conditions in the upper atmosphere will encourage a storm to form along the front, leading to a fairly productive area of showers for much of the region overnight into early Sunday, more extensive than previously forecast.

The rain and showers arrive in the Hudson Valley toward midnight, continuing northeast to dampen most areas from the Champlain and Hudson Valleys east later tonight into Sunday morning, more scattered through northern New York and the St. Lawrence Valley.

Much farther to the north, a storm over Hudson Bay in Canada tracks northeast, pivoting a cold front through Ontario into the Great Lakes.

This front approaches us from the northwest tomorrow afternoon, generating a mild and and increasingly humid airflow ahead of it, permitting some breaks in the clouds for some limited sun, but also stirring up some scattered showers or a straight thunderstorm through the Adirondacks and St. Lawrence Valley tomorrow afternoon, pushing east into the northern Green Mountains late in the day.

It won't last as a warming trend develops for the middle of next week.

Getting back to the forecast for this weekend, we start out with the areas of dense valley fog burning off by mid to perhaps late morning, sunshine mixing with some increasing clouds this afternoon in New York and south of I-89, warmer, highs in the low to mid 70s, light winds becoming southerly, increasing 10 to 15 and gusting to 30 mph in the Champlain Valley.

Tonight, periods of clouds, showers arriving in the Hudson Valley near midnight becoming likely from the Champlain Valley east overnight.

Milder lows in the 50s to near 60 along with gusty south winds.

Highs climbing into the low and mid-70s, along with a light south breeze, except gusty in the Champlain Valley up to 30 mph.

In terms of rainfall, no rain during the day today, but showers will arrive tonight starting in the Hudson Valley about midnight and then spreading north and east, generally from the Champlain Valley eastward, covering 80% of the area.

Rainfall amounts near a tenth of an inch north but up to a half an inch south.

Additional showers Sunday afternoon and Sunday night, mostly from the Adirondacks and Route 4 north, covering 50% of the area, amounts one to three-tenths of an inch.

So I had this opportunity to come west.

We were from the Hudson Valley, like Highland Falls is where I'm from and right on the Hudson River.

So I got a job opportunity to come to West Virginia and I'm like, okay, let's do it.
