28 Sep 26 – Life Is Worth Living

As you know, we've been doing a little series called Why Stay Catholic? And it was inspired right after we came off of two debates where we felt like it doesn't matter where our performance is.

There's plenty of reasons to be Catholic.

There's no one single reason.

to be Catholic because we have the fullness of the faith.

There's so many things other people are missing in their faith when they reject some of the tenets of the Catholic Church.

So, to continue on this series, I think it's been great.

We have Blessed Fulton Sheen's beatification celebration episode here on Through His Wounds because he was blessed.

an example of what it meant to be Catholic in America, a good spokesman for the Catholic Church.

And no one wants to be a spokesman for the Catholic Church, but I think in this day and age, in an American age, we need good spokesmen who are authentically Catholic, spokesmen who don't speak about themselves, who speak about Jesus Christ.

And this show is called Through His Wounds, E.T. What's up? Talk about Fulton Sheen and being a spokesman and the age of influencers, you know?

Yeah, you know what? Fulton Sheen didn't become powerful because Fulton Sheen was powerful, right? Fulton Sheen became powerful because he had something to say.

He became powerful because he understood that he had been entrusted with something great from God to say, right? And I think when we understand that, that God's given us this purpose— He's given us this reason.

You know, the catechism teaches us we've been given this reason to worship him, to serve him, and to love him.

And the reason why St. Fulton Sheen, right, the reason why his words were so powerful, because he understood that purpose.

And I think a lot of us can learn a lot from St. Fulton.

I love saying that right now.

Do you remember, recall about a year ago, I called him St. Fulton Sheen, and people got upset with me.

Right.

They're like, he's not his

picture in the in the in the church.

Amen.

Amen.

Amen.

Amen.
