Rachel Cuevas

Rachel, you enjoy

the show Ted Lasso.

I do.

It's a wonderful, wonderful show.

And this season is focusing on women's soccer a lot.

Spoiler alert for anyone who hasn't seen the season yet.

You played soccer when you were younger.

Have you seen any growth in the way women are treated in sports since you were younger?

There's I do.

I do.

I, I, I lived in a very blessed family where my dad was my soccer coach.

I played in my and when my parents were in the military, I lived in Germany for four years.

I played on a boy and girls team.

I came to the States.

There wasn't a girls team when I was younger in my town.

So I played on the boys team for two years and they created a girls team.

I was somebody who was a powerful soccer player.

So I ignored, I always had the ability to ignore when people made microaggressions against me as a woman.

But I do see it in like the WNBA.

I do see it in other sports that women do get treated differently than men.

But I think, I honestly don't know if it's better.

You know, I mean, I'm sure it's

not, I'm sure it's not enough.

I mean, even though the show is satire, I mean, I'm sure there's a lot of truth that plays out in real life that women are definitely not paid as much as men in the sport.

They definitely don't get the same kind of respect.
