Oh, this is the one where they were operating on three tubes and all the New Yorkers were worried about train Carmageddon.

APTA suggested that the average daily ridership in the first quarter of 2026 was $286,000, which is a pretty substantial inflation.

But BART is still growing at a pretty rapid clip, and I wanted to bring that up because it has had, as of March 2026, which is the last data that would be represented via APTA, 18% year-over-year increase in ridership.

So apparently, like, the safety initiatives and, like, service improvements are, in fact, paying off.

Now what remains to be seen is if the California legislature will stifle this growth in the cradle by not, you know, funding BART.
