So, uh, today's episode, Jimmy, uh, episode eight of season two, uh, Sam leaps into, uh, Jimmy LaMotta in October 14th, 1964.

Uh, this episode is written by Paul M. Bellis and Robert Wolterstorff and directed by James Whitmore Jr. Um, It's so funny because I had these notes done almost immediately after our last recording.

towards the end of our last review uh that this one i was highly anticipating i don't know if i actually used those words with you by but i did tell you that this was a fan favorite um so uh let's get into first impressions what did you think of jimmy the episode i

mean when you talk about top tier quantum leap episodes you got to talk about this episode yeah it was great uh I enjoyed it very much.

We learned a lot about Al and about, you know, what it's like to live in the life of somebody with Down syndrome.

And yeah, and I think, I felt watching this, this is the most doubtful Sam has ever been about the person, like whether or not he was going to be able to accomplish his mission.

You know, I love learning about anything about our leads, you know, so like learning about Al's sister, Trudy, that always stuck with me at that moment in the episode.

You mentioned it, like this got stakes, you know, it has conflict, you know, within the family, which can be very difficult.

And yeah, you see this family go through, you know, you know, taking in another family member, which makes it even more difficult when someone like a Frank was, you know, seemingly raised family as family, you take care of your own, you know, and I was very much raised like that too.
