John D'Aquino

And I know that when it comes time to choosing a season and put together a show, I always want to look for something for you that has a lot of meat on the bones or that needs a new take on it.

And with Orphans, a play that I saw many moons ago in the Burt Reynolds Dinner Theater days with Judd Nelson, believe it or not, and John D'Aquino, and Pat Hingle played the Harold role.

Harold.

It really made an indelible mark on me.

The young folks stop at Harley & Son Groceries, where they meet Ed and Billy and Billy's dog Gypsy, played by Mushroom.

Joel, the asshole of the group, played by John D'Aquino, doesn't want to hang out with the yokels.

So he pulls his dirt bike off the trailer and roars off to do jumps in the hilly area behind the store.

Then more yokels arrive in the form of Mr. Wallace and his brood of five dirty-faced grandchildren.

There's a big difference when the various actors get up to say their pithy little lines, especially in these middle scenes when they're in the cabin.

And there's some real stinkers.

Yeah, outside of Lance Henriksen, I think John D'Aquino was probably the most successful actor of the crew and is still working today, even though I said somebody else was the only actor still working today.

I lied.

Um, so a little bit of star power here in this, uh, low-budget B movie horror.

Uh, also stars John D'Aquino, who's most known for, uh, performances in cult classic TV series like SeaQuest, uh, and Quantum Leap, as well as his role-- Maybe you and I are most familiar with him for his role as President Richard Martinez in the Disney Channel show Cory in the House.

Hmm, yes, of course.

Yeah, of course.
