Prospect Promotion Incentive Ep. 41: So Long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen

Today, our national holiday, we've got a couple here.

So it's National Pink Day.

Not really sure what that means, but I guess the color has a day.

national hydration day and national detroit style pizza day so those that's sort of the smorgasbord from which we can draw inspiration for our prospect comps you told me before we we got live why you chose this particular player but uh why don't you go into your comp first

Yeah, so I had to double check.

Now that we're a year into this, that we aren't duplicating holidays in our episodes.

Thankfully for us, we haven't been as diligent or as consistent with the day we record.

So we didn't record on June 23rd.

But I had a feeling that we did Detroit style.

We did something with Detroit before.

We didn't.

Anyways, I went with hydration because there are so many aquatic names of minor lead baseball teams.

So for this instance, I went with the Norfolk Tides.

And I wanted to talk about Enrique Bradfield Jr.

He is an outfielder in the Orioles system.

Norfolk is their AAA affiliate.

I'd be shocked if you're listening to this podcast and aren't familiar with at least a AAA MLB affiliate.

But anyways, here we are.

If you know Bradfield, you know that his calling card is speed.

Got a 70 on that run.

grade uh it could be 80 um but i know the the speed um tool is one that's pretty you know uh based in science and in fact uh regardless the 17th overall pick back in 2023 out of vanderbilt uh speeds the name of his game in just 24 triple a games this year he is either ben hurt or he is hurt right now He has only racked up two home runs and six stolen bases and hasn't done a whole lot otherwise at the plate.

But Bradfield Jr. is still someone that when healthy could participate and could make his way into the Orioles situation.

So we'll keep an eye for him, but he's someone I've just always been fascinated by.

If you max out one of the tools or get near to it, you're going to have my attention and seeing him in the AFL this past year is really made me even more interested in him from a fantasy perspective because he was starting to tap into some more power.

And you started to see him lean into the pole side, hit some balls really hard.
