Breck WiedemannGUEST
I'm also going to go with an arm here to try to round out my team a little bit.
Breck WiedemannGUEST
From Glendale, I'm going to go with Briggs McKenzie from the Atlanta Braves organization.
Breck WiedemannGUEST
He's High schooler coming out, right? And he threw only 26 innings this year, so this is more of a, let's get a big, longer, extended look at him.
Breck WiedemannGUEST
He's got three really good plus pitches, or really good pitches.
Breck WiedemannGUEST
Fastball, curveball, changeup.
Breck WiedemannGUEST
He's just somebody that...
Breck WiedemannGUEST
You know, from the left side, I'm interested to see what happens, right? The Braves are notorious for developing arms, and I'm just real curious about where they can take Briggs McKenzie.
Greg HoogkampHOST
Yeah, this is a Braves guy for sure.
Scott MooreHOST
They're pretty stacked, man.
Scott MooreHOST
Briggs McKenzie is a really fascinating left-handed arm from the Braves.
Scott MooreHOST
He will be in the mix with some of the Pirates guys.
Scott MooreHOST
You said Carmichael's probably going to be the lead catcher.
Elijah EvansHOST
Tate South the scene.
Elijah EvansHOST
And then Briggs McKenzie are the headliners here, both high-level picks, some really good prospect pedigree that missed some time this year.
Elijah EvansHOST
Rest of the Braves guys going out are Owen Carey, outfielder, Isaiah Drake, an outfielder, left-hander Tanner Bauman, right-hander Owen Hackman, right-hander Tyle Laporte, and right-hander Logan Samuels to round out the Braves guys going.
Aram LeightonHOST
Yeah, we got a top 100 guy in South scene.
Aram LeightonHOST
Let's get him the reps that I'm very excited to see more of.
Aram LeightonHOST
And I think it'll be telling, you know, in that regard.
Aram LeightonHOST
Briggs McKenzie.
Aram LeightonHOST
I mean, this is a player that we were like waiting on the debut pro debut.
Carlos CollazoHOST
Nationals right-hander Harleen Susana, who's on the Salt River roster.
Carlos CollazoHOST
And then Braves left-hander Briggs McKenzie, who's on the Glendale roster.
Carlos CollazoHOST
Both are guys who missed time this year with injury.
Carlos CollazoHOST
And we've seen electric stuff, obviously, from Susana in the past.
Carlos CollazoHOST
And Briggs McKenzie, I think, was on a pretty solid up-arrow trajectory of his own earlier this year before he also... dealt with some injury issues that limited his playing time.
Carlos CollazoHOST
He had a nerve injury that cut his season short after just seven starts.
Carlos CollazoHOST
So Briggs was a guy in general who this year I was really curious to see what he would look like.
12 MINS LATER
Carlos CollazoHOST
It's serious injury.
Chris WelshHOST
The Braves, I whiffed on all the right names.
Chris WelshHOST
I did not think Tate Salstein would come out here, nor did I think Briggs McKenzie would.
Chris WelshHOST
And I picked literally all the other guys.
Chris WelshHOST
Eric Hartman, Luis Guanipa, John Gill, etc.
Chris WelshHOST
I don't have any other true insights quite yet.
Chris WelshHOST
I'm chatting with the AFL and getting my stuff set, but want to get, interviews and want to do all those fun things but yeah the overall perspective is this is definitely a lesser of a full completed afl it's kind of decently strong on the top end there's a couple really fun pictures to see it's not packed with pitching especially when you take off sakura and you take off scarborough but that you get to see brandon clark and yarland susana and And I'm definitely forgetting there's another.
Chris WelshHOST
Oh, Briggs McKenzie.
Chris WelshHOST
Those are some fun names to see.
Lindsay CrosbyHOST
Atlanta isn't sending a Cam Caminiti or any of, or a Luke Sonardi like that.
Lindsay CrosbyHOST
They are sending Briggs McKenzie though.
Lindsay CrosbyHOST
We had him as our second, the Braves prospect composite, sorry, has him as the second best prospect, pitching prospect in the system.
Lindsay CrosbyHOST
I think Taylor specifically had him as the third best pitching prospect behind Cam Caminiti and Owen Murphy.
Lindsay CrosbyHOST
He debuted in May in the Complex on Rehab.
Lindsay CrosbyHOST
He got one start in Augusta.
Lindsay CrosbyHOST
Shout out to Noah, the broadcaster for Augusta, for getting one game with Briggs McKenzie.
Lindsay CrosbyHOST
Five innings, one hit, no runs, one walk, eight strikeouts.
RyanHOST
And he said, hey, who last year had one walk and turned into the best hitter in our system.
RyanHOST
We I don't even think I can describe how excited I am for next year with A.J. Gracia, Hirschkorn, McCarthy, a healthy Briggs McKenzie.
RyanHOST
We had such a fun year this year, and it only gets better next year.
BenHOST
I feel like we really are getting spoiled here because it's been just a wonderful season for our system.
