Alex Anthopoulos

I don't feel that Owen Murphy has really shown that he's ready.

All of a sudden, all of this pitching depth that Alex Anthopoulos has refused to part with or has had a lot of faith in over the past couple of years, hardly any of it's reliable.

Like, like, like going into next year, I imagine they retain Mahle, but your starting rotation at least next year is Sale, Mahle, either an external pitcher being brought in or Didier or Fuentes, and probably Bryce Elder or Grant Holmes.

If there is one silver lining, the fact that the pitching depth is so unreliable may give Alex more reason to go get so- someone externally, but we know how that works out.

There's no way you bring him back and try him as a starter.

With that 8 million and AA's reluctance to eat money at all, when you might also have to eat the 13 million that you owe Jerkson Profar next year, I think Ray Lo gets a shot at coming back, but it has to be in some sort of bullpen role.

You just can't trust that shoulder as a starter anymore.

A bit of a surprise and good news, Joe Jimenez was put on a rehab assignment, so that's very interesting.

So that was a big what if at the trade deadline.

The Braves had a trade that was, I believe, agreed upon by both teams for Jacob deGrom, and I think they were gonna give up Strider, right?

Um, y-you know, uh, I, I can sit here and say, um, Tyler Mahle has been an outstanding pickup.

In what world can you get away with not having a GM and then nearly hiring a baseball executive to be your new GM? In what market does that fly in Canada? Are you crazy? You know what would happen if the Leafs hired Alex Anthopoulos? The r- the stuff you get away with in the States 'cause no one cares is mind-numbing.

I am proud to live in a country where we have hockey markets that know this is garbage.
