On this new episode of THE POLITICRAT daily podcast Omar Moore on why your vote matters. Plus: An excerpt from Monday's "Roland Martin Unfiltered" show as Roland emphasizes a connection between your…
That was the full press conference held yesterday on Monday, October the 5th, 2026, inside a church.
I think the Church of Hope, um, is the name of the church, in Inglewood, California, down in Southern California.
The Attorney General for Black America, Ben Crump, there with Christine and Elmore, the parents of Nolan Wells.
If it were your child, you would want every authority in law enforcement to get to the bottom of this.
It is beyond obvious that the Mississippi law enforcement and district attorney's office didn't do nearly enough here.
They certainly were not transparent with what they did, and you didn't hear anything from the sheriff, really, except for his very early statement about this supposedly being a drowning, accidental drowning.
And then the folly of saying something like that before you even have anything done with the body of Nolan Wells.
So the idea here was to exonerate the people who did do this to Nolan Wells, because somebody killed Nolan Wells.

So it's very, very clear to me, dear listener, that there was an effort from the start to exonerate anybody who was involved in the death of Nolan Wells rather than get to the truth about the death of Nolan Wells.
And I really want you, dear listener, to understand, especially if you're in Mississippi, that your voting in these midterms is such an important thing.
Because if you, dear listener, get out and vote, you really can affect the outcomes of these races, not just in Mississippi, but anywhere.
What I'm saying is, is that it is critical to get active and vote and to understand that your vote really means something.
Now, if you are a person listening to me who did not vote in 2024 in the presidential election, or you happened to vote in the presidential election, but you voted for a third party, and there's so many people in this country who do that kind of thing, then if you happen to have either voted third party in the 2024 presidential election, or if you happen to have stayed home, and if you happen to have done either one of those two things and are the same person who is calling for the feds to get involved in investigating the death of Nolan Wells, then you really need to be looking at yourself in the mirror and asking yourself why you chose to either stay home or vote for a third party in the 2024 presidential election.
