It's way too damn big, and five people have way too much power.

House of Representatives, and there are Republicans that have threatened to investigate you over the homelessness situation, unhoused population in Los Angeles.

And this is something that should be on everybody's mind, not just in the city of LA or the county of LA or the state of California, but the entire country, because so many federal dollars go towards the fraud, the waste, and abuse that we see on our streets every single day, where we spent billions of dollars and the problem got worse.

I think Reince Priebus had a very, very powerful observation.

He thinks that this election, in the end, that control of the House and Senate may, may literally be up to 100,000 votes.

That might be the, the, the margin of difference.

The get out the vote effort of Republicans has improved dramatically since 2024.

Not a billion and a half dollars to spend, a billion and a half dollars more than the other side, and although some people in our business say money doesn't matter as much as it used to, that's a big delta.

Number two, there's a weakness on the re- Democratic candidates.

Karl Rove and others will tell you, any professional, candidate quality matters, and while Republicans have some weak candidates as well, Democrats in some of these key ra- House and Senate races have weak candidates.

Number three, this is, uh, this is, uh, a year when not every Democrat's a socialist, but the difference, as Gavin Newsom said the other day, on a lot of issues between the socialists and the non-socialists aren't that big.

... we've had exchanges about this.

You know, I, we both are very concerned about what's gonna happen on January 3rd, and, and actually very concerned about the interim between, you know, the elections in November, which l- will likely result in, in, in a democratically elected House of Representative, assuming the people are seated.

You know, we're concerned that governors, secretaries of state, various commissions may not certify the real winners, that the, that the rogue clerk theory, which is the, the judge's, um, uh, thesis that we're discussing now, whether, whether, um, Mike Johnson, uh, fires the current clerk of the House, Kevin McCumber, who's, by all m- by all accounts, you know, a very serious man and a decent man and somebody w- who could be relied upon to do the right thing, and replaces him with a, a lackey.

You know, somebody to just do the evil that Trump and, and Johnson intend.

The AI research community is pretty small, right? If you go back to the year 2017, they could and they did fit in one conference hall back at NeurIPS.

So David Sachs, the former AI and crypto czar at the White House, he posted on X some pretty vicious criticism of meter saying, quote, stop pretending meter is independent when it is intertwined with anthropics, investors and staff, end quote.

Here's the thing.

Yes, if you look on the LinkedIn history of meter, there's going to be some overlap in terms of people who used to work at Anthropic, in terms of people who used to co-author research at universities with people at Anthropic.

So, Greg, let's talk about a couple of more perspectives here.

There certainly was a mention of President Obama and some remarks that he made in the coverage this week.

And also, if you're talking about AI in the Trump White House, you kind of have to at least take some consideration of where David Sachs is on this issue.

So can we talk about both of them briefly?

Do you understand that? He can't do that.

Congress would actually have to pass the money because all spending emerges from the U.S. House of Representatives.

Any money that's spent by this government has to start in the House of Representatives.

So the House would have to pass a bill saying everybody gets $5,000, which would add up to $1.3 trillion.

And it was Obama who was the traitor.

And if Trump gets reelected, or I should say Trump's been reelected, if the midterms mean the Republican Party retains the House and the Senate, to me, that's like Trump being reelected.

If we win the House and the Senate and Trump's the president, we've got everything.

We're going to finish the grand jury hearing in Florida, and guess who's going to get indicted? Obama.

So Obama has suddenly taken control of the midterms because he's afraid of getting arrested.

We've got to focus on criminal, too.

And again, look, this election is going to come down, Wayne, too.

about 25 House races and three or four Senate races.

And we are 51 days until this election.

And I don't have high hopes for holding on to the House of Representatives.

First off, the.

I mean, the gain is three.

So now we are about to walk into a political buzzsaw, and we deserve it.

What kills me is it's an unearned run.

Like Democrats are going to pick up the House of Representatives and they're going to believe that it's because a majority of Americans don't agree with Trump, don't want illegal immigration enforcement, don't want the ballroom.

you know, want birthright citizenship, don't want voter ID.

Yep

... are old enough to remember all the heads of the tobacco companies being brought before the Senate or the House.

Yep.

And one after another, they all sat there, and they lied through their teeth.

Can you imagine? And nicotine...

And like you said, the thing that, that is echoing, the echo chamber here historically regarding these kinds of things is, uh, you know, the lies and the covering up.

And no- And at the same time, the big companies were buying off the senators, the representatives, the House, the Sen...

The administration was being bought off right and left because they were getting these huge donations from these companies.

So I'm gonna name him fully.

I feel like Milton Dick in the House of Representatives.
