... as like one of the greatest things to come out of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

I would love to go to Albuquerque.

But yeah-

So this type of schedule for an OU fan, not easy.

My God, they got New Mexico actually at home next week.

New Mexico's not gonna be an easy opponent.

But again, it's OU.

Um, trips to Athens, trips to The Swamp.

And then I did my three years in the mission.

Uh, came out of that, um, due mainly because I, I made a mistake of, on one of the missions down to New Mexico, I, I wanted to bring my, my wife and kids to the zoo over the weekend because I didn't want to be bored, and I thought it was a good time.

And I was new- newly married and everything else.

Had a, a brand-new baby and everything else.

Afterwards, she traveled to Sogen-ji in Japan to practice under the guidance of the Zen master Harada Shodo Roshi.

She currently lives in New Mexico, where she has founded Mountain Gate.

And I would walk every day, the two week, two blocks to sit all the s- all these sittings at Rochester Zen Center.

Mm-hmm.

And then eventually, August the next year, uh, I was allowed in, and stayed there for until we moved to s- seventeen of us moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico to do the core work of rebuilding a place that the center had an option to buy.

So, this is one of, this is a perfect example that I think that calls into question those that want to enforce gun control laws like extended waiting periods, you know, cool-off periods or cool-down periods or whatever they call them, which, you know, we just talked last week on the podcast actually about the one in New Mexico being overturned, which, by the way, update on that story.

Apparently that ruling is so narrow, it's only applying to the two plaintiffs in that case, according to that judge.

So that, you know, more to come on that one, because that is ridiculously narrow.

Because what is everybody else in New Mexico supposed to do? Or within that same circuit? Supposed to come up with their own lawsuit? Anyway.

So, but this is a domestic violence situation.

This is an ex... lover, boyfriend, whatever, to this woman.

Then do it.

What are you waiting for? All these different countries, all these different jurisdictions have said that they won't give them the information that's been requested, including New Mexico.

So like if they won't even play ball with a state in America, do you really think they're going to give anything up to these European countries where they have no control over what comes next? I highly doubt it.

Does that sound like a Trumpian thing to do? Give control to somebody else? The man has to be in control of everything, right? Just like he's in control of this cover-up.

And at that point, I was very passionate about advocating for people that didn't have a voice.

I wanted to be a public defender and I applied for jobs all the way from California to Montana, and I ended up with a job in Hobbs, New Mexico as a public defender.

A year and a half into that, I was appointed by Governor Lohan Grisham to the bench, and that was really what changed the trajectory of my life.

I sat on the bench and I watched people, you know, I was very used to criminal law where people were the accused, you know, that suffered a lot of addiction and trauma and poverty.

We educate them about the reality.

A lot of...

the laws have to do with where you live so you can't really have a probate conversation without having a conversation about geography right so there if you google what are the top 10 probate states of course you'll see california you know new mexico alaska hawaii and then you'll see that they're also very low probate states so there are states like maine and pennsylvania that probates very cheap and quick and in those places you'll see people making decisions to go more towards wills where in In a place like New Mexico or California, you see a lot more trust because of what the reality of the probate is.

So just to have blanket statements like, I think a will's the way or I think the trust's the way is just not

You were in school, you were in college.

Yeah, it was my first semester of college at New Mexico State University.

So you were still getting adjusted to that life.

So there you are in New Mexico and you're worried, he's stuck in an airport in California.

On a business trip and we were just
